Been a While

Sun Nov 16, 2008, 10:45 AM
Well, it's been almost a year and we've been busy. I've updated a lot of pictures, you'll find the three Baroque Costumes from Singing in the Rain, the legion of costumes that we did for ACEN '08 from Gundam Seed Destiny, the Final Fantasy VII pics from Otakon '08. Yes, we went all the way to Baltimore, it's a beautiful...if very long, drive. And Baltimore is beautiful, we got to walk the harbor when we went to lunch with Sara's cousins. We plan to go back again this year. We've also had another first when my mother decided I should write a play for her. The Mokai debuted on the stage of Dixon High School on October 31st. The kids did an amazing job, thanks to all of them for their support as well as my roommates support. Not only did they help with costumes and ticket sales, but they put up with my while I lived and breathed the Mokai for four months from writing to casting and costuming. The results were amazing, the set was fabulous and of course, the costumes were stunning. :) It was an awesome experience and I made a lot of good friends doing it. What's next for us? We're tackling Bleach costumes for ACEN '09 and also hope to have a table in artist's alley with some cosplay accessories available. Check us out if you're there. For now, I've spent too much time on the internet and must clean our apartment. Ciao!

Craziness!

You are now entering a world of chaos. In this world you will be making a wedding dress by the end of January, the baroque costumes worn in Singing in the Rain and accompanying wigs by the end of March, and your costumes for ACEN by the beginning of May. Ready? Set? RUN!

We'll keep you posted and updated, it's going to be a trip :)

Princess Bride

Thu Sep 27, 2007, 7:52 AM
Hey all the is ash, we are all really bad at updating (apologies for that) currently among a few other projects we are working on some costumes for a HS production of Princess Bride. We're finishing off a series of standard vaguely historical tunics, then on 2 the fun part. As fans of the film will recall Buttercup wears three costumes in a very sort space of time...there's the peasant outfit, then the "I present to you Princess Buttercup!" outfit, and then she is riding her horse in a (very impractical) red dress she then wears for then entire chase and then the fireswamp sequence.....So anyway three costumes, 2 quick changes. we were originally going to do just the riding dress, but when it dawned on all those involved the changes required we were given all three to do so that pieces from each can work together to make the changes quicker. Also we have worked with the girl playing Buttercup quite a bit as she is Faith's cousin...anyway hopefully we will have in progress pics and i will insist on pics of the completed dresses. Gotta run if i don't get some sewing done Faith might actually disown me this time!!

Sevem Random Facts

Wed Aug 8, 2007, 9:07 PM
Okay, our first go at a tagging game

Just list SEVEN random facts about yourself! They don't have to be embarrassing, just uncommon.

1 - Our cats tend to have more than one name...and then continue to collect them ie: Ginny Grace Turner and Captain Pearl Yoruichi Sparrow, and RIP~ Sparkle Pizzaz Cleopatra "Little S**t" Morrison
2 - We have pink stuffed elephant complete with heart embellished ears and a cute pink bow. His name is Horton.
3 - Sara's hair is often spraypainted different colors, such as bright pink, Ashley's hair is often dyed different colors such as bleach blond
4 - At crunch time, there is often at least one of us awake at all hours of the day
5 - Faith's collection of pandas has been halted from growing any larger by Ashley
6 - Ashley's collection of fabric has been halted from growing any larger by Faith
7 - Sara's collection of anime and manga is frequently aided and abetted by Faith and Ashley

Disclaimer: While we were writing this, the third of FASH known as Ashley was mildling intoxicated and the third of FASH known as Faith was mildly...*scratch that* VERY sleep deprived and the third of FASH known as Sara was aiding and abetting the insanity with pleasure.

We don't know how to put links in to tag people...but if he reads this, Neil, tag you're it.
